The Lambourn Gallops

Facilities

Jockey Club Estate Gallops

With 300 acres of state of the art training grounds on our doorstep it makes the perfect location to train racehorses.  The variety of gallop allows us to exercise your horses to their specific needs.  With an array of surface, incline, and length to choose from it gives us a truly top class facility at our disposal.

Lunge Ring

The lunge ring was installed in 2015 and is made from galvanised steel and strong rubber panels.  Located in a peaceful area of the yard it ensures a safe and relaxed environment.

Two Furlong Trotting Ring

The trotting ring has an all-weather surface allowing it to be used all year round as a warm up area and for easing horses back into ridden exercise after injury.  It also serves as the perfect introduction for newly broken horses, providing a safe enclosed area to practice in before advancing to the gallops.

Loading Ramp

The new top of the range loading ramp ensures the utmost care is taken at what can be a precarious time for a new horse making it’s first steps into an unfamiliar environment.

Paddocks

We have 6 turn out paddocks of varying sizes all with excellent drainage and regular maintenance.

Starting Stalls

Onsite we have our own state of the art 3 bay starting stalls.  They are an excellent tool for practicing horses gate work in a quiet and calm environment and prove invaluable for preparing young horses for their racecourse debuts.
